Why Our Righteous Acts Are Considered As Filthy Rags

Isaiah 64:5-7
You welcome those who gladly do good, who follow godly ways. But you have been very angry with us, for we are not godly. We are constant sinners; how can people like us be saved? We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind. Yet no one calls on your name or pleads with you for mercy. Therefore, you have turned away from us and turned us over to our sins. (NLT)

Read Judges 17-19
The epilogue consists of two major sections: (1) Chapters 17–18 interweave stories of the household idolatry of Micah the Ephraimite who hired the Levite Jonathan, Moses’ grandson (18:30), as his personal priest, and the migration and tribal idolatry of the Danites. (2) Chapter 19 narrate an atrocity perpetrated on another Levite’s concubine at Gibeah.
Be content with your inheritance (blessing) that God has given you.
Stop worshipping idols.
Stay in your lane.
Worship and trust the Living God only.

Knowing God's Timing
Tuesday Apr 16, 2024
Tuesday Apr 16, 2024
In this enlightening episode, we delve into the concept of 'God's timing', and how it aligns perfectly with His divine plans. As humans, we can often find it challenging to be patient and wait for His timing, particularly amidst the pressures of our modern, fast-paced lives. However, patience is a virtue that scripture reveals as being pleasing to God, reflected in the Bible verses from Psalms and Lamentations.
Understanding and trusting in God's timeline can be a source of huge comfort, and those who wait on the Lord are often rewarded with renewed strength and resilience. This belief is reiterated through verses from Isaiah and Psalms. Furthermore, our trust in God is central to our patience. Trust allows us to relinquish reliance on our own often flawed understanding of circumstances, and instead, rest in His perfect wisdom and divine guidance.
Our Heavenly Father is always aware of where we are in our lives, often using obstacles and challenges to mature us in our faith. He hears our cries and is ready to respond in accordance with his perfect timing and will. However, to fully trust God and wait on His timing, we must dedicate time daily studying and meditating on his word. This allows us to experience His divine energy and become wise in understanding His works.
In a concluding prayer, we gather to thank God for his mercies, protection, and righteousness. Lastly, the episode brings assurance that with patient endurance of God's will, we will be duly rewarded. Remember, God loves you, and in His perfect timing, all will be well.

In this episode, we dive deep into the biblical concept found in James 4:7 - "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We dissect what it means to resist the devil and the significance of this resistance in strengthening our faith as Christians. The necessity of arming ourselves with the full armor of God to withstand the onslaught of Satan is discussed in detail, emphasizing the defensive and offensive tactics inherent in spiritual combat.
We reflect on Jesus's message which acknowledges the malicious intent of Satan - to steal, kill, and destroy, and resonate with His promise of life in its fullest form. As we strive to maintain our faith, it is crucial to acknowledge that we are not fighting mere human ideologies, but formidable forces emanating from the realms of darkness. Arming ourselves with the full armor of God, we are fully capable of standing against any evil thrown at us.
From the helmet of salvation protecting our minds, to the breastplate of righteousness shielding our hearts, we explore the spiritual armor in its entirety and its significance in our battle against Satan. Additionally, we delve into the power of prayer, our final piece of armor, and the role it plays in resisting the devil and aiding our fellow believers.
Throughout the episode, we stress the Bible's instruction to resist the devil rather than rebuke him. We focus on reinforcing our spiritual armor, wielding the word of God and drawing strength from His power through prayer. We must resist the devil and drive him away by strengthening our faith and maintaining a strong spiritual fortress.
Finally, we end with a prayer of gratitude for God's loving kindness, mercy, and the blessing of a new day. The prayer covers strength for those weak, healing for those ailing, and provision for those in need. Acknowledging God's forgiving nature and expressing our trust in His power, the prayer is a heartfelt cry to God for His abundant blessings and constant guidance.
Join us in this educative episode as we scripturally equip ourselves to resist the devil and become victorious in spiritual warfare. Remember, through faith and trust in God, the victory is already ours.

Ephesians 6:10-18
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, (NASB).

2 Corinthians 10:3-6
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete. Should Christians Seek After Spiritual Enlightenment?
Colossians 2:16-21
Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ. Let no one disqualify you, insisting on asceticism and worship of angels, going on in detail about visions, puffed up without reason by his sensuous mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom the whole body, nourished and knit together through its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God. If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations— “Do not handle, Do not taste, Do not touch” (referring to things that all perish as they are used)—according to human precepts and teachings? These have indeed an appearance of wisdom in promoting self-made religion and asceticism and severity to the body, but they are of no value in stopping the indulgence of the flesh. (ESV)

False Doctrine & Heavy Shepherding
Tuesday Mar 05, 2024
Tuesday Mar 05, 2024
Heavy shepherds are religious power brokers who control others through fear. They preach about authority, submission, judgment, prosperity and end-times. These false shepherds present themselves as the source of all knowledge and authority. They punish people who do not meet a certain standard and ostracize them as not earning God’s approval. They ignore the fact that Christians already have God’s approval through the shed blood of Jesus Christ—no person can “earn” God’s approval.
