Mark 14:3
Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. (ESV)
Jesus told the disciples that this was the time to watch and pray, for soon difficult temptations would come. Jesus was not asking that they pray for him; rather, that they pray for themselves. Jesus knew that these men would need extra strength to face the temptations ahead—temptations to run away or to deny their relationship with him. For this they needed the three-pronged strategy of vigilance, prayer, and resisting temptation.

Mark I:16-20 (ESV)
Passing alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” And immediately they left their nets and followed him. And going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who were in their boat mending the nets. And immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants and followed hi
LEAVE IT AND FOLLOW
What can we learn from the disciples’ response to Jesus’ call
What does Christ expect you to leave behind to follow him?
What sacrifice of personal achievement, wealth, or position does Christ ask you to make?
What prevents you from following Jesus immediately and wholeheartedly?
What must you do to eliminate these hindrances from your life?

Philippians 4:1
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (ESV)
We can trust that God will always meet our needs. Whatever we need on earth He will always supply, even if it is the courage to face death as Paul did. What ever we need in heaven He will supply. We must remember, however, the difference between our wants and our needs. Most people want to feel good and avoid discomfort or pain. We may not all get what we want. By trusting in Christ, our attitudes and appetites can change from wanting everything to accepting His provision and power to live for Him.

Restoration From the Shepherd

Psalm 23:
He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths
of righteousness for His name's sake.
Those who only are led by the still waters of comfort, who walk the paths of righteousness. The way of duty is the truly pleasant way. The work of righteousness in peace. In these paths we cannot walk, unless God leads us on them, and leads us on them. Discontent and distrust proceed from unbelief; an unsteady walk is the consequences: let us then simply trust our Shepherd's care and hearken to His voice.

Hebrews 10:32-33 Key Verses
But recall the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings, sometimes being publicly exposed to reproach and affliction, and sometimes being partners with those so treated.( ESV)
Questions to Consider:
What are some past instances when you received direction for your life that you knew was from God?
Were you bombarded with negative thoughts and pressures that tried to make you doubt the direction God gave you? How did you react?
3.In the future, how can you respond according to the Word when these negative thoughts and pressures come against God’s direction for your life?

Jude 1:20-23 (NLT) 20 But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, 21 and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.22 And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering. 23 Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.

Exodus 3:4
When the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” (ESV)
Oftentimes, God will disrupt your routine just to get your attention. Acknowledge Him and He will direct you paths. Noticed that once Moses turned aside to see, his life was changed forever. After Moses said "here I am"... God said that He was the I AM revealing the extraordinary in the midst of the ordinary. The ordinary just won't do!

John 6:65
And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.” (ESV)
A person cannot come to Jesus if he has not been drawn by the Father, taught by the Father, heard from the Father, and learned from the Father. God, not the person, plays the most active role in salvation. When someone chooses to believe in Jesus Christ as Savior, he or she does so only in response to the urging of God’s Holy Spirit. Thus no one can believe in Jesus without God’s help. If a person comes, the Father has drawn him or her.

Welcome to the FaithFactor Podcast w/Bishop K
I am Bishop Keifer R. Bradshaw and I know that life has us on the move. This podcast is to inspire you with an uplifting message to encourage you with scripture and a devotional to uplift your day. Time is of the essence these days, that is why each episode is less than ten minutes in duration. It is my pleasure to serve you and my prayer is that God will continue to bless and keep you. For without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He awards those who earnestly seek him.
